Joint File

Hi! My wife is deployed and I’m trying to file our taxes. I haven’t had work in the last year so I was wondering if I need to file at all? And if I do, how do I file jointly without a W-2

Joint File

If you are filing a joint return, you would include your wife's income as part of the tax return so you will need her W-2.  It is not required that you both have income to report in order to file a joint return.
