If you served on the military and was stationed in a different state but was still an Ohio resident what pay amount are they asking for ? Base pay?

If you served on the military and was stationed in a different state but was still an Ohio resident what pay amount are they asking for ? Base pay?

If Ohio is your Home of Record State, it is asking for all of your taxable income earned in the military for the year. This would include all pay listed in Box 1 of your W2 issued by DFAS.

 

One good tidbit of information I found is that Ohio does not tax your military pay if you are stationed outside the state. Here is the reference source where I found this.
