If your wife established residency with you in Tennessee, she is now a Tennessee resident and would not need to file a Louisiana return (and since Tennessee does not have a state income tax, she wouldn’t file a Tennessee return either).
If your wife did not have a Tennessee residency with you,
she has become a Louisiana resident if she was there for more than 183 days. And if she is working in Louisiana while
living in another state (Texas or Mississippi, for example), she would file a nonresident Louisiana return.
