"Did you buy anything without paying sales tax outside your state of residence?," Does this apply to Military?
I'm assuming you're in the sales tax deduction section of the program. I can see how the wording can be a bit on the "huh?" side for military. For the purpose of this question, if you are not stationed in your HOR, treat that question as if it reads, "did you buy anything in the state you lived in, in 2019 without paying any sales tax?" The program asks this question because mlitary have the benefit of using the BX and commissary where sales taxes on products and services purchased do not apply.
