Why is the 8995/QBID form auto-populating if I am no longer self-employed as of 2021, Fully W-2, have not received any 1099 forms, and have no rental property/income?

I don't have a side gig, answer no to all the self employment/extra income prompts, and have tried deleting the form all together.

The program  will not delete the form if it believes you need it. You need to look at the form and see what it shows. Then you can locate the issue and correct it. To see your forms:

I’ve already looked it over several times. I used TurboTax when I was self employed but have not used that side for 4 years. I checked all the boxes that may trigger it and there is nothing to uncheck hence why I’m asking now. I’m just going to delete the entire thing and start over without pulling from last years return.

You said you can't delete the form and when you look it is blank. You must be online since you could force a delete in desktop.

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

For stuck information follow these steps:

  1. Delete the form/ worksheet- if possible, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
