Exactly what type of issues are you having with respect to changing the number of days?
Obviously, you cannot have a situation where the total of personal use days and fair rental days exceed 365 for 2018.
Just start at the beginning of the Rental & Royalty Income (SCH E) section of the program, elect to EDIT the property and work it through again. Then when you get to the screen that asks for it, you can change the number of personal use days to zero, which is what I'm guessing it should be since 99% of filers do not read that screen in it's entirety and enter an incorrect figure there.
I need to change the personal days to zero and it won't let me change it. (Rented days are 354, which is correct.) Yes, I know the total days of rented and personal cannot exceed 365 days. I read one "help" that mentioned you must start the entire return over. I obviously don't want to do that...Hard to believe that the software won't let the user change the amount of days...seems like a simple change to me. Thanks for any other ideas you may have.
Thanks, Carl. I will see if this works.
