Stock Dollar Average Cost Basis

Hi Tax Expert,

If I sell a stock position that I buy on a daily basis in the past 10 years, can I just report a cost basis and sale proceed on the tax form without entering all those purchase transactions? It has more than 2000 buying transactions and 1 sales record. The broker has the cost basis shown on my position.

You at least have to break it up into 2 sales.....long term and short term.
