Schedule D Completely Blank

I ended up with a net loss of ~$34k through investments which I uploaded documentation for and I completed in detail using the wizard, yet when I go to file I need to "fix" Part III of Schedule D line 16 to enter my net loss. Turns out, the whole of Schedule D appears to not be calculated and is blank. Why does turbotax not compute this form for me? I've paid for Premium.

Schedule D Completely Blank

We would like to look into what is happening with your tax return. Please send us a sanitized version of your tax return. Here's how to do that:

If you are using TurboTax Desktop software:

 

 

  1. Open your return.
  2. Select Online from the TurboTax menu in the black bar.
  3. Select Send tax file to agent.
  4. You will see a brief explanation of what is in the file.
  5. Select Send.
  6. Make note of the token number.
  7. Respond in this thread with the token number.
