I would enter this in Box 1E even though it may not be what was submitted on the 1099B by the broker. Make sure you keep all documentation regarding the adjusted cost basis just in case if you are questioned by the IRS later on asking why the difference. Then you have tangible proof why the adjusted cost basis is correct.
