How do I need to edit a tax form

You have to use Forms Mode which is only supported by the desktop versions of TurboTax.

Forms Mode is not supported by any online version of TurboTax.

You cannot change the form itself.  Information on the 8960 comes form other forms and entries.

What is wrong with your 8960 form?

There are certain scenarios where a user has to make adjustments that can only be made in Forms Mode.

The adjustments are made directly on the Form 8960 Worksheet and typically involve Lines 4b, 5b, 7, 9, and/or 10.

Line 4a of form 8960 is populated with the income from schedule C (which is not rental income) then the income rom schedule C is reversed out on line 4b. Net effect is zero $ of rental income but because form 8960 line 4a is not equal to Schedule 1 line 5 my Federal return has been rejected. Please advise on how to remove this rental income from form 8960 as no rental income was incurred in 2022 or entered into turbotax desktop during the preparation of this return.

If the fields appear to have populated incorrectly, you'll need to delete your Form 8960 and re-input your information.  To delete the form in TurboTax Online,

1. Open or continue your return in the TurboTax program.
2. In the left pane, select Tax Tools, and then Tools in the dropdown. 
3. In the pop-up window Tools Center, choose Delete a form.
4. Select Delete next to Form 8960
5. Select Delete Selected Form on the Delete Selected Form screen
6. Select Continue on the Form Successfully Deleted screen
