hello,
I live in the USA, have foreign bank accounts, pay all taxes here in USA.
I entered my information as I did last year, however I keep getting the Foreign Tax Credit form inserted and cannot remove it. I have double checked my entries, but it keeps reporting errors.
Did something change?
thanks for your help.

Foreign bank accounts should produce some foreign income. You may have investments with a brokerage in the US that has foreign dividends and pays foreign tax. Take a look at the form and see what it is showing. Also, look at your 1099-B forms along with any other foreign information you entered. Once you hit $300 ($600MFJ) you must use Form 1116 to claim the credit. Maybe your foreign tax hit the mark this year.
Hi,
thanks for quick reply!
good suggestions but unfortunately does not apply.
I'll probably get help from TurboTax service team, I had trouble last year getting my return submitted, I probably entered my income incorrectly, it slipped through, but now its not accepting it.
thank you again for your quick reply.
have a great rest of day and week.
Take a look at the 1116 form to see the amount of the income. Then you can figure out where it came from and change your entries.
