Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Previous versions of turbotax would ask if you wanted to enter percentage for rental expenses or enter the actual amounts. This year it did not ask. Where can I input?

I entered actual expenses for my rental property (40% of my home).  In the final check, turbotax asked the percentage.  I entered 40% so now my expenses are 40% of 40% and I cannot find where to fix this.

Try going to the Property Profile section of Rental Income and Expenses or just edit your property and go through the first several screens (if using TurboTax Online).  On the screen titled, 'Do Any of These Situations Apply to This Property', be sure that you have checked the box indicating I rent out part of my home.  Having this box checked will allow you to enter the percentage of the home that is rented.  Then you can choose to enter the prorated expenses on your own or allow TurboTax to do the math for you.
