Lost on the sale of rental property : where to report it ? can it be deductible ?

I sold my rental property at the lost, but the TT keep saying " can only report Gain" ???

Do you know where the sale was shown?  In the Rental section?  Sale of a 2nd home in the Investment section?  Let me know and I can help

Enter as a sale in the business sale section you can not enter as a loss.

The residential rental has to be sold as an active rental if loss is applicable.
