Logging hours for non grouped rental properties.

TurboTax only ask one time about hours participating in realistate activities for professional realistate qualification. It doesn’t ask if your properties are grouped. According to the IRS, I have to log 750 hours for each unit to qualify because they are not grouped. Is this something that was overlooked?

Logging hours for non grouped rental properties.

It is not 750 hours per unit to qualify.  According to The Tax Advisor (an AICPA publication) "A taxpayer will be considered a real estate professional if (1) more than one-half of the total personal services the taxpayer performs in trades or businesses are performed in real property trades or businesses in which the taxpayer materially participates and (2) the taxpayer performs more than 750 hours of services during the tax year in real property trades or businesses in which the taxpayer materially participates.
