K1 Partnership Box 20 code Z has been selected but no Section 199A income has been entered on Statement A

Federal Schedule K1 has no $0 in Box 1, 2, and 3. I have amounts in box 7 - Royalties, 13 - Other Deductions, 19 - Distributions, and 20 - Other Information.

Box 20 has Code A and code Z *STMT.

>> Code A / has a dollar amount

>> The Statement A / Schedule K1 Line 20 / Code Z (Section 199A Form has a dollar amount in Box

"Royalty Income (Loss)". The Royalty amount was entered in the TT interview process.

When I do the Federal Review I receive the following message:

>> Sch K1 Partnerships Box 20 code Z has been selected but no Section 199A income has been entered on Statement A.

>> Z - Section 199A Information (from drop down box)

>> Screen Displays form Schedule K1 (Form 1065)

      Box 20 Other Information

Code A  Investment Income               $$ Amount

      Code Z  Section 199A information    $$ Amount

NOTE:

This Partnership only had Royalty Income. There was NO ordinary business income (loss) or Net rental real estate income (loss) or Other net rental income (loss).

I have reviewed all the input information in the TT interview screens and everything appears to be accurate. But every time I do the final review I encounter this error and I can't determine how to eliminate the error.

Thank you in advance for your response.

if boxes 1, 2 and 3 are 0 you have no QBI.  portfolio income in the other boxes does not qualify for QBI.
