Is no help for investors to do 2020 tax prep before the end of 2020. What gives T Tax ??

There are a number of 2020 forms that are still being revised by the IRS.  Click on the REVIEW tab to see what form(s) you are waiting for and when it is estimated to be ready (when operational ….and dates are subject to change) ...

You didn't say whether you are using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download TurboTax software. If you are using the CD/Download software you can enter investment sales in forms mode for the purpose of doing a preliminary rough draft of your tax return. Enter the sales on the 1099-B Worksheet. For planning purposes you can summarize the sales for each category instead of entering each individual sale.

Thank you, to rjs(L 15) and xmasbaby0(L 15), everything got explained satisfactorily .

The problem is the IRS having form 8949 available only one day before estimated tax is due for Tax  year 2020.
