There is nothing to get back from renting, but you should be filing for yourself and they shouldn't claim you as a dependant if you paid them for your living expenses.  Claiming yourself will likely get you a refund.

Yes if the rent is appropriate (not a gift) and you paid taxes or made so little you may get something back.
