I share an apartment with roommates and we split the rent. Am I eligible for the homestead property tax credit (Michigan) and if so do I input the full rent or my half?

It depends. If you were on the lease and contracted to pay the rent then you can claim the homestead credit based on household resources and your pro-rated share of rent. If you were not on the lease, then you cannot. Please view this Michigan link for more information.
