I need put new carpet rental expenses but I do not know where to put

Carpet is entered as an asset and depreciate 5 years for a residential rental property.

Federal taxes > Wages & Income > I'll chose what Work on > Continue through to your rental summary

A.rental income

B.expenses

C.assets <---------<<<<< here click update

D. Vehicle Expenses

At the property asset summary screen for your property; click add an asset. Answer question to set up properly in the tax program

X Rental  real estate property

X Appliances,carpet,etc

You now have a 5 year property for carpet!
