First of all, you should have received a Form 1099-B reporting the transaction. If you have not yet received your 1099-B, you should wait until you have that to report your stock transaction. When you are ready to enter your 1099-B:
- Click on Search
- In the Search Window type Jump to 1099-B
- Click on Jump to 1099-B
- Click + Add an Account
- Answer Yes to "Did you get a 1099-B or a brokerage statement for these sales?"
AT this point you can download your 1099-B, or you can type the information in yourself. The program will walk you through the process for whichever you choose.
