how do i change the source of 1099-misc income. It says the source is in rental income-it is from direct sales.

Are you saying the Form 1099-MISC incorrectly shows the income you received in Box 1, instead of Box 3?.  If so, you need to get whomever sent you the Form 1099-MISC to issue you a corrected Form 1099-MISC.  If the form itself is correct and you entered it as rental income, review your entry and change how you entered it TurboTax.  Start by clicking on Search and typing in "Form 1099-MISC", then click on "Jump to form 1099-misc".
