Georgia nonresident filing: the Rental amount shows $0 when there is an actual positive value for the georgia home

On the page where I have to split the income between georgia and california, the total rental amount is showing up as $0 under the rents, royalities and k-1 income.  There should be an actual positive value for rents so not sure why it's $0 for this. Do I modify this to show the total amount received as rent for the Georgia rental home? Why isn't this filled in with the value from the federal information?

Yes, you should enter the Georgia income amount.  TurboTax does not necessary know which states the rental properties are located, and if there is a overall loss, sometimes a zero is entered if the state does not allow a loss.

@VR13 When I was answering your first question, I was thinking the same- I will submit as suggestion (not sure if anyone ever thought of it).  TurboTax does ask if you had other income, but it (may) be easy to sort by the property address.  (And I say "may" because of course it may or may not be when programming).

Thanks, Mary!

The property address is entered on the federal side so Turbo tax should know which state the property is located in. I would think it'd be pretty easy to transfer that info over. Not sure why it's not automatically done.
