Deleting an Old Schedule K-1

I had an old Schedule K-1 years ago.  Every year when doing my PA state taxes, I still have to go through the interface to try and delete my Schedule K-1 section even though I haven't had one for years.  How can I completely delete the Schedule K-1 section?  I am getting an error message from Turbo Tax saying I can't e-file my PA State tax return because of a section that I no longer need.  I followed the Turbo Tax instructions multiple years to delete this section but haven't been able to get rid of it for years and now I'm being penalized for having the section.

Deleting an Old Schedule K-1

The instructions for deleting a form in TurboTax Desktop are shown below. Be sure you delete all forms relating to Schedule K-1, including those under the state forms list.

The worksheet in your 1040 return is called "K-1 Partner (or S-Corp) [name of investment]."  There may be other forms listed under the main K-1 worksheet, so delete those first. The state form usually has a letter or letters before "K-1" (ex: NK-1, CAK-1).

Open your return in TurboTax Desktop, then:

  1. Click on Forms in the upper right of your screen.
  2. Find the relevant form on the left-hand side of your screen in the Forms in My Return list.
  3. Click on the form to open it in the large window.
  4. Click Delete Form button at the bottom of the open form.
  5. Click Yes to confirm you want to delete.
  6. Use the Step-by-Step icon in the header to go back to your return.

Save your return. Close TurboTax. Restart the program and open your return again. Confirm the K-1 forms are no longer in your forms list.

Please clarify which version of TurboTax you are using: TurboTax Online or TurboTax for Desktop? Windows or Mac? If Online, which browser?
