Can chimney repair be claimed as expense for owner occupied rental?

I rent part of my house out via Airbnb. 2016 I paid for chimney repair. I am letting TT allocating for me. Can I enter this as repair expenses?

Yes, you can deduct your chimney repair on an allocated basis.

Type in rental property in the search box, top right of your screen, then click the magnifying glass

· Click the jump to rental property link in the search results.

· Follow the onscreen instructions

· Navigate to the Rental Summary page

· Scroll down the Expenses category, click Start or Update

· Navigate to the Enter Common Expenses, page
