Hello.
I need some help with a situation regarding a backdoor Roth IRA. I made a contribution for year 2023 to a traditional IRA in January 2024 and immediately converted it to a Roth IRA within 24 hours. I did not receive a 1099-R for this conversion. Is that because the contribution and conversion occurred in 2024? Do I need to report it on my 2023 taxes and how would I do that since I do not have a form 1099-R? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
