1099B-What type of investment did you sell

You are seeing that question because you indicated that your transaction(s) involved company stock.  If you did sell company stock, you need to know the type of plan you acquired it through.  Details of the plan should be available from your employer.  If you did not sell company stock, the you need to back up, or delete the your Form 1099-B and start over.  When you re-enter, do not indicate it was company stock if it was not.
