W2G entry very slow

I have several W2G’s to load. Each one taking over 20 minutes. You click on the first box then have to wait several seconds before you can enter any data, then allows the next box to be entered, then locks up again when you click the next box. I have cleared cache and even did Windows clean up. All updates are current. Even tried to unplug from Internet to see if it was sending data. Any one else with this problem?

The bottom line THERE IS NO FIX for the desktop version. I reported it last years. Obviously, the software engine is having an issue with the total amount of w2g forms that are entered. Once you get past entering 8 to 10 the software itself gets slower and slower to a point why bother.

Clearing cache etc is only good for online browser stuff not an engine driven desktop software. I don't even think a super duper main frame could handle it lol

I agree. This is ridiculously slow! How about a copy function?

If you have W2G's from the same casino with the same EIN, you can combine them as long as the totals are correct.

It's 2023 and this is still a waste of time. TurboTax have you ever heard of the copy command. Having to enter the same information over and over for multiple W-2G's from the same casino is asinine! Allow us to copy forms and just change the things that have changed on each form, which is usually 2 or 3 boxes; amount, type of wager and transaction.

You don't need to enter all those individual forms at all ... simply add up all the winnings and enter the total ONCE ... the individual entries you put in the program do NOT go to the IRS ... only the total goes so stop wasting time and effort. Skip the W-2G entry screen by simply indicating you did not get one of those forms then the option to enter just the total will be presented.

I’ve seen your reply previously and that’s fine for you to believe. There are situations that your response is 100% incorrect, so I would suggest not telling others what is not based in fact in all situation. The fact is, TurboTax should make it easier to enter all of your W-2G’s.
