Recaptcha error on import

Import won’t work on Win 11 desktop version. Recaptcha tries to open, but it has “Error:For site owner…” message with no check box. Does this with multiple financial institutions.

I have this issue too. Windows 11, on several different computers. Using 2024 Desktop Premier version of TurboTax. I get the ReCaptcha error, when trying to pull form 1099 from Morgan Stanley. This has worked flawlessly for the previous two years, this year it is failing due to the ReCaptcha error. I don't have a VPN.  I have whitelisted the desktop TurboTax app, Intuit website, Morgan Stanley website.

Error is encountered on multiple financial sites, multiple computers.

Communication from app to financial institution ReCAPTCHA Enterprise interacts with the customer backend and webpages to trigger a sequence of JavaScript, HTML, and token authentication events, something in this code flow is not working on the TurboTax side of the fence. TurboTax developers need to figure this out and get it patched in a new software build.

    Error:

"Error for site owner: Invalid site key"

Sfitz2025, thank you for laying this out so clearly. We hope TT recognizes this bug and fixes it soon. Again, thanks

Same with Merrill Lynch.  Tax forms are ready.  This is very frustrating.  None of the "fixes" fix anything.

I have the same problem with Merrill Lynch. I have successfully downloaded from other sites without any issue. I'm using the up-to-date download version under Windows 11. No VPN.

Same exact problem on Feb 11, 2025. Same error message on trying to import financial docs directly from brokerage. I hope they get this fixed soon!

Same here, no VPN to disable. DECO router, I turned off the intrusion prevention, malicious content filter, and still the same reCAPTCHA issue: "ERROR for site owner: Invalid site key". TT must have some crappy QA department to signoff such a bad implementation.

I get the same error too!

Have the same error using Windows 10 also. Multiple financial institutions don't work including T Rowe Price, Stifel, Computershare. Some work like Bank of America. Fidelity Investments worked but Fidelity Netbenefits didn't.  I can download the paper forms from each of those sites so they are published. Turbo Tax is really not supporting their customers obviously.

My financial institution sent their summary documents already.  Intuit support told me it was a software error that is being addressed.

same issue here -- is there a number to call and complain? I've used TurboTax for years with no issues before in importing information.

@CatinaT1 please stop posting the same answer multiple times, updating computer has nothing to do with this issue and many of us reported this already. It is not the answer to this problem.

I have the same issue trying to import my data from Wells Fargo.  Do not want to input it manually.  To much if a chance to make an error.
