I found the accrued interest amount as a line item, on the Schedule B after I posted my question. It was subtracted from the total interest amount which is what I expected. The 1099-INT shows an amount in Box 1, a bond premium in Box 11, but all other boxes are empty.    Can you further explain your comment (below): : "note also, that any time you do pay accrued interest for any bonds you buy during the year, then, in the TTX software...you must break out the bond interest type into it's own 1099-INT before declaring the accrued interest you paid when buying that bond type" How would I break the "bond interest type into it's own 1099-INT"?  Not sure why I would have to do this or how I would do it? Note the bond was not purchased in 2025. Box 11 shows the amoritized bond premium for 2025. Thanks

I have received K-1 for an exchange fund contribution I made last year, and it reports dividend income in box 6a and 6b as ordinary and qualified dividend respectively. The Turbotax Premier asks me to enter both of these, however when I see the Schedule B, I see only the ordinary dividend being reported in Part II. The qualified dividend is not there, it is missing from Dividend Income Smart Worksheet. I assume it only lists only the 1099-DIVs that I entered, I was hoping Turbotax will automatically pull the Schedule K-1 reported qualified dividend too. Any idea how to get it fixed?

When I enter $1 for the PTC it changes my refund by $1, so that will not work. It looks like the only way around this is to either do my taxes on another software platform, or print and mail the returns along with form 8962 downloaded from the IRS website and manually filled out. Turbo tax needs to fix this glitch in their software!
TurboTax will do that for you, as will all tax prep programs.   The K-1 is reflected on page 2 of Schedule E.

Thank you. I just got done paying the underpayment online.    While doing that you have to check the reason.  I saw "extension" and checked that off.   So once payment is accepted, the extension is automatic.   I do not have to file a Form 4648.   Just have to make sure that the reason you checked off is for extension or the extension is not granted.   Also, I received an "MRC"  number from USPS.   MRC is Mail Recovery Center.   This is where all lost undeliverable mail is sent for 30 or 60 days and than "supposedly" is destroyed.   The reason it is undeliverable is the sender and receiver address is not readable.  THey will tear open the package and try to find an address to send it to.  I know for a fact they do NOT do that.   4 years ago, my tax return was "lost" and we saw it again, and the IRS never got it.   Obviously if they tear open the package they can see our address.      BTW I Sent the package containing the return in TWO  large yellow envelopes, one inside the other. I did that because of how our return from 4 years ago was "lost".   I than used heavy duty clear packing tape around the edges.   The addresses were type printed,  22 pt, and than I used the tape to cover both address labels twice.   The point is, if the package is so damaged it cannot be delivered, than it was intentional.  Simple as that.  When you look at the IRS zip code extension, 1000 means it is a payment which means there is a check inside with names, acct numbers and my signature.  They can bleach the check and use it and charge it to my bank acct.   Or they can try to hack my checking acct.     I think the USPS employee(s) saw that zip code knew the check was inside and knew it was a tax return with SSN's and names, phone numbers etc and planned to use that info, or sell that info for money.   There is no doubt in my mind that is what happened.   Happened before.   We had to change our bank acct numbers.     I called the post office and talked to one of the supervisors, than the so-called postmaster.   HE apologized.  He said it may still be deliverable but was NOT able to do anything more to help.   He than bragged about the low percentage of lost mail being 1%.   I told him 1 percent last year equated to 642,000 pieces of mail were lost.   I asked him how many pieces of mail were stolen each year.  He said he doesn't know.  I asked him about the 5961 cases of internal mail stolen last four years and how many cases were closed and prosecuted.  We got disconnected.      I don't see how USPS stays in business except that it is a govt entity and protected by the govt.   Anyway, just getting this off my chest.... Sorry to impose.   Thanks again, frank

I'm an EPD unitholder. My K-1 has a negative capital account (-$7,856) but large nonrecourse liabilities ($41,434). I'm in Forms Mode and on the K-1 Partner Worksheet, I see beginning values but not ending values for items J (Partner's Share of Profit, Loss and Capital) and item K (Partner's Share of Liabilities). Item L (Partner's Capital Account Analysis) also only shows the beginning capital account and nothing else - ending capital account is the same as the beginning. How do I trigger the Step-by-Step interview to input these amounts so my 2026 carryover is correct?
How am I supposed to estimate that? I don’t know anything about doing this.
But it’s asking what my liability is. I’m not sure what that means.

I went to the Form itself and see two columns.  Two columns were not available or displayed when using the walk me through everything method in the program.

I fill out the residency information accurately in Turbotax, but when I review the Legal Residence (Domicile) Questionnaire on my exported PDF, it shows both my spouse and me as a nonresident of Wisconsin. Only my wife was a nonresident, and it puts in a resident of WI instead of the actual country of residence for my wife. How can I fix this bug? I don't have TurboTax desktop, so I won't be able to go into form mode to manually force the change.  I saw some other posts in the community for this issue, so I know I'm not the only one.
