Normally the federal return needs to get accepted before the state will accept the return.  It does not happen immediately.  That is why the state return shows pending longer.    Why is my state e-file still pending?

This TurboTax help article has information on how to print out or save a PDF of a return.  Be sure to include all the TurboTax worksheets in your download as these should have the information you are wanting to know about.

If you find no missing information when you review your Form 1099-NEC entry, you can ignore the "Needs Review" tag. To confirm there are no problems with your entries, go to Federal Review and run Smart Check. This process will ask you for any missing information.

You can try this procedure to remove the form:   1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return 2. Choose Tools 3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links  4. Find the Form 5805 in the list and delete it

If you want to verify that they have actually "landed" in the system, you can use the state's official self-service tools through myPATH Portal.  Visit the myPATH website. You don't necessarily need an account to check your refund status, but creating one lets you view "Letters and Notices" and "Submissions," where you can often see whether your documentation has been logged.

When finalizing your return you can enter a 5-Digit Pin which is a number you create to sign your return, or you can elect to use your prior-year Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for verification.  you can find your AGI on Form 1040 on Line 11. You can also order a free digital transcript of your return from the IRS. You can view your online transcript immediately, while a mailed transcript takes 5–10 days to receive.   How do I find last year's AGI? My return is being rejected because I did not pay any estimated taxes, nor did I live in any of the cities listed. I didn't pay almost $200 for a machine to answer real life questions. What do I need to do to get my return approved?

To correct the "Person on the Return Worksheet: Enrollment Status" error in TurboTax, access the Forms mode, locate and delete the problematic "Person on the Return" worksheet, then re-enter student information in the Personal Info section. If using desktop, click "Forms," select the worksheet, and click "Delete Form". For K-12 529 plans, ensure "529 plan" isn't accidentally marked as a 1098-T student.    In TurboTax Online From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.) On the drop-down select Tools On the Pop-Up menu titled “Tools Center,” select Delete a Form  This will show all of the forms in your return  Scroll down to the form you want to delete  Select the Form  Click on Delete.

There aren't known issues between this Schedule and Form, but generally TurboTax asks users to manually input their at-risk limit amounts in passthrough entities (use the below K-1 QuickZoom menus), rather than having the system calculate it (which features many unknowns). See below for a 6198 Line 4 flow-thru item off the K-1 wks that could be limited; the program asks the user to update the Form manually (image 1) using the Form worksheets (image 2).  Make sure you've hit all the QuickZoom menus on your Schedule K-1 worksheet for at-risk limits and made all the required entries in the sub-menus.     TurboTax - What Is Form 6198: At-Risk Limitations

You will need to send a Form 3911 to the IRS to request that missing refund. This asks the IRS to track down the payment. If they see it was never cashed and returned to them, they can credit it back to your account. Here is a link to download the form and send to them. Also view this link on where to mail or fax the form.    Be sure to record your banking information in section 1 line 7 of the form as the IRS no longer issues paper checks.

This is for informational purposes only as required by the Affordable Care Act.  This amount is not taxable and does not affect your federal or state tax liability.    Your personal contributions to health insurance premiums, which are deducted from your pay on a pre-tax basis under Section 125, are typically listed in Box 14 labeled as IRC125. This amount is already subtracted from your taxable wages in Box 1. Unlike federal rules, these contributions are subject to New York State and City taxes. When filing your NY state return, you must add this amount back to your taxable income (often using form IT-225).
