The offer is for "Up to 5 days earlier", so that can be 1-5 days early.      If you paid a $35 fee to get the "Up to 5 days early" refund offer deposited to your own bank account (as opposed to a Credit Karma Money account for no fee), then TurboTax says that if the refund doesn't come at least 1 day earlier than it would have if it had come directly from the IRS, the $35 will not be charged.   If that happens, watch for any emails.

Your refund will be delayed.   You'll need to follow the instructions in the Notice at your earliest convenience within 30 days of the letter.   Please read this IRS document for more information.

When completing my taxes, it gives options to pay and it says that I am not eligible to pay using my refund. Why is this?

I have 3 years of foreign tax credit carryovers and I have a foreign tax credit this year that I need to carryover.   I am using TurboTax premiere online version that I use on my desktop.  The form 1116 is in the software but when I go to print it out, it won't print.  I have tried all the troubleshooting steps including deleting the form and inputting all of the data again.  I spent over 5 hours on this yesterday.  I called customer support.  The first person hung up because she was clueless, the second person in product support insisted that I delete the program and reinstall it.   Turbotax states that the form won't print out if I have foreign tax credits from dividends only.  This makes NO SENSE.  I need form 1116 to print out so that their is a documented history of my foreign tax credit carryovers for when I use them in the future.  I explained this to the product support person and he insisted I had to delete the program and reinstall.    So frustrating.   Even more frustrating that turbotax support cannot help after waiting 1.5 hours on hold

@sm3337900  wrote:  "When I go off the app it says I haven't filed but I filed with the app."   You may need to explain that more.   So far I'm not sure I understand.  What does "when I go off the app" mean?    Did you prepare your return in the TurboTax mobile app on your phone or mobile device?   And are you now trying to see your return in Online TurboTax through a browser?   And are you using the same User ID and password?  The mobile app and Online TurboTax should sync.   If you filed with the mobile app, when using the app what does it show for the efile status--does it say accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or something else?   If you just recently efiled, it may still say "pending."   And when you log into Online TurboTax with a browser and go to the Tax Home, what does it say for the status of your return--does it show as accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or something else?  If you just recently efiled, it may still say "pending."   After filing did you get 2 emails--the first stating that the return had been transmitted, followed by a later email about whether the return was accepted or rejected?

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.   Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.    If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

First, if you efiled, be sure your efiled return was accepted.   If using Online TurboTax, you can check at the Tax Home page.   Does it show as accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or something else?   If that showed your return was accepted for processing, you can track your Federal refund at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool: https://www.irs.gov/refunds   The IRS normally uses 3 stages: Return received and is being processed. Refund approved. Refund sent and an expected deposit date.   If that tool shows your refund is still being processed, and if it's been longer than the usual 21 days, you can phone the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.   IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday
