Same issue. Stepped thru all HSA forms and no error or issue and keeps getting rejected by fed, state, etc. WTF.
We tried bypassing it but it won't let us put 0s on the form and move on like we did in the previous years. It's not a form that's in the documents folder either, so we can't delete it.

But not to corporations or for merchandise. You send the IRS a copy of the 1099Misc with the transmittal summary form 1096. These are due to the person by Jan 31 and to the IRS by Jan 31 also.
Where does it want the EIN?   What form has zeros on it?  W2 or a 1099?  You can't enter zeros.  You need a real EIN like xx-xxxxxxx.

Yeah, I just finished printing the forms and pulling the guide from the IRS (like I've been doing since the 80s) and did not find an issue that would trigger a rejection. I didn't review everything but the I went over the HSA forms pretty thorough.  I'm pretty sure I can go to a competitor and get this done with no issues. Full disclosure, having changed Jobs and putting in two different HSA's I discovered I over contributed by $100 for the year. I answered all of that correctly and decided to ignore the added 6% on that over contribution. But no, I still get rejected and nothing in any TT Knowledge article is helpful at all. Sigh!!! So again, why am I paying the price for this?
Using Turbo Deluxe. When entering zeros as the EIN I get an error message saying that I need to enter a valid EIN.  Ho do I get pass this issue?

Hello,   I received a promotional email multiple times to switch from the Desktop version to TurboTax Online and when I finished my entire return the promotional values are not honored. The email contains a link that when clicked brings me to a TurboTax webpage (there is no service code anywhere in the email). The webpage states that using TurboTax Do It Yourself Premium Online will cost $59 for1 Federal return with e-file. In addition, it says State Return is $24 with e-file. The text regarding the state return price can be clicked to open a pop-up window which states if filing in multiple states, then each state is the same discounted price (should be $24/state). Also, the fine print in the email and webpage says that the discount expires on April 15, 2026. *See photos* I have called TurboTax support multiple times and they are not helpful. I even supposedly talked to a supervisor that said they cannot do anything about it because I do not have a service code. The supervisor and other representatives told me to "clear and start over", to see if when starting over and using the email link plus the link on the webpage that opens to start my return will resolve the issue. I did this a few hours ago and completed the return for a second time and I am not receiving the promotional pricing. I have seen on reddit that people have had similar situations with different TurboTax promotions requiring them to use a browser that does not have ad-blockers and/or anti-tracking. I am wondering if anyone knows if this works because this will mean that I will have to "clear and start over" a second time and fill out my return for a third time.

I was able to fix it!   I had gone through the wizard several times entering the same info to no avail.  I think the sum function is not being triggered for the combination of fields i entered expenses for.  I had to enter a manual adjustment, it still showed zero for expenses.  I re-went through the wizard again entering the exact same info, then it properly showed the expenses.  I un-checked the manual expense option and the expenses were finally properly summed for the property.

Can you explain more?  You can use a QCD to cover the RMD.  When it asks how much is the RMD you can put the amount from the 1099R box 1.

@pk  I'm a US Citizen. Used to live in CA but left a few years ago to Mx. I do freelance design. No clients in Mx, all are in the US. I earn in USD. I file 1040 + CA 540NR because I have an SMLLC in CA supporting my CA based clients, so source + benefit of the work is in CA, hence my understanding is I have to pay CA tax for this work. Thus why I do FEIE for Federal, but add it back for CA.

I am seeing this same issue.  I have insurance, real estate taxes, and mortgage interest on my rental property with the property being occupied the entire year and it is entering zero for my property expenses.  As a result, it's showing I have more profit than what I actually had.  There is a bug!
@foymc no; the are misc deductions which were eliminated in 2018.
