Once you have properly gone through the filing process, your return will show as Pending. This means that we're waiting for the IRS to come around and pick it up. It will then be accepted or rejected.   You can use the IRS tool Where's My Refund to check if your e-filed return has been received. Also see the TurboTax article How do I check my e-file status?

It is anticipated that the depreciation calculators within the software should be updated by February 13th, 2026. The tech team is working diligently to release the updates before that date, if possible. Note that this update will affect depreciation for Schedule E (Rental Properties) only. Schedule C (Self-Employment) was updated previously, and should be working in all versions of TurboTax.  (Problems receiving the update? See: troubleshooting for TurboTax Online)   You can sign up at this link to be notified via email when the depreciation and amortization forms are available in TurboTax.

No. Do not include your 403(b) on the IRA Worksheet as a traditional IRA for year end balance.   The 403(b) is an employer-sponsored plan and they will handle the record-keeping, including RMDs when it is time.   If you would like to keep separate track of your 403(b), keep the year-end statements stored.   Here is an article for more information: Is my 401(k), 403(b), or TSP considered an IRA?   Another pointer is to consider consolidating your accounts into one traditional IRA when the time comes, to simplify record-keeping.

Oh, I didn't think of that. Upon looking, I see I have whole numbers listed with no decimals.    What do I do if at the end I still get this message?

We need to actually know what that means if we are expected to wait until the last couple of weeks before we can file our taxes. Will it have the full functionality that the itdeductible plugin did?  Or is it going to force us to do it super manually but let us assign a FMV as we painstakingly peck in dozens or hundreds of donated items. Which version are we waiting for?

If you are a U.S. person, income reported on a 1099-NEC is taxable self-employment income to you regardless of where the organization is located, or where the work was performed. There's no special exemption just because the payer is an international organization, when the income is reported on a 1099-NEC.   Questions pertaining to estimated payments are usually asked later in the interview process. That may be why you are showing a penalty and balance due.    You can enter the payments manually under: Federal → Deductions & Credits → Estimates and Other Taxes Paid → Federal Estimated Tax Payments.
