I just fixed the problem of "Hmm...it looks like we've hit a slight snag".  I called and ordered the California and Colorado returns I needed.  Customer service then sent me receipt via email.  The email had a "Sign In" button, selected the Sign In button, then selected to download the California and Colorado returns.  Two files were downloaded to my computer.  Clicked on each file and the program was updated to include both states in the program. It turns out Intuit needs to manually intervein and send a link to download. Hope they get this fixed by next year!
Exactly where are you seeing it?   Check your actual 1040 tax return.  What line is it on?   12,000 sounds like the new Senior Deduction if both spouses are over 65.

It created a $12k deduction that should not be there. I went back through Schwab, Vanguard, and Bank EOY documents to see if that was imported from someplace and cannot find it.

I entered in K-1 line 20 "Z" and left the amount blank.  When I click on the Quick zoom button, it takes me to a screen where I can enter supporting data.  The problem is that it enters a total of these entries in section z and overrides the blank amount as above.  The printed statement for my K-1 shows "* STMT rather than a total.  What am I doing wrong?  Does it matter that there is an amount in the Z section?

The Expert Assist screen is at the very beginning after I start a new return process before the transferring data from last year.  It says costing $110 per return with just a 'Start for free' button.  I have to click on this button to continue but not sure if I will be charged the $110 per return.   Please advise.

I have been using turbotax desk top software for almost 20yrs.  Up till last year, the user could  change an entry on a 1099R form or charitable deduction form after the continue tab is clicked.-- An edit tab was displayed.  Now for 2025, I found that the only way to edit one of these forms was to delete it & re-enter.  Is this a software error?  I make mistakes with my entries all the time.  Does turbotax have a fix for this problem?  If this will always be the case from now on, I will not purchase this software again &  go to a competitor.  Turbo Tax -- please reach out to me!!!
