You must carefully go through the questions in the Personal Info section about you, you qualifying person and your household.     To qualify for Head of Household (HOH) status in TurboTax, you must be unmarried (or legally separated), pay over 50% of home maintenance costs, and have a qualifying dependent living with you for more than half the year.

To exclude military retirement pay from Utah tax in TurboTax, enter your 1099-R in the Federal section, then identify it as military retirement during the state interview to claim the Utah Military Retirement Credit (Code AJ). The credit is applied in the Utah state return section, not by directly reducing federal income.

No do not change anything on the 1099R form.  It is taxable until you enter the QCD amount.  After you enter the 1099R the very next screen will ask - Do any of these situations apply to you?  Check the 7th box for I Transferred all or part of this money directly to Charity.  Then on a couple more screens you enter the amount after you go though the RMD questions if you are the age to take a RMD.

I don't have many transactions in my accounts, but I still followed the steps you suggested. Unfortunately, it still crashes. I installed all the recent updates. Again, when I go to import docs, from the TurboTax desktop it takes me to Web, then after entering required info, it shows "Connection established". I go back to TT desktop, documents appear there on the page with title "These Documents Are Now Ready for Import". I click on "Import Now", there appears a popup "Importing", then it disappears and nothing happens. It still on the same page. I can still go to Wages & Income -> Your 2025 Income Summary. There in the "Import Summary" section it shows that there are 2 items, which looks like it did actually import docs, but when I click on "View" - it crashes with a popup "Looks like we've run into an error." Please, advise. It's almost April and I haven't filed my taxes. I wanted to use TurboTax, because I used it last year and I can just import previous returns.

The Adjusted Gross Income on your Form SD 100, Ohio School District tax return, is the same as what appears on your Ohio state income tax return, Ohio IT 1040, Line 3. If you believe the number may not be correct, revisit the Ohio state return section and go over the questions that determine the additions and subtractions from your Federal AGI to arrive at Ohio AGI.   You can make certain additional entries for Ohio School District Taxes, such as to correct your school district code, in the Ohio state return. In the Ohio interview in TurboTax, continue past the income, credits and other taxes section, until you get to the screen "A few things before we wrap up your state taxes". See screenshot below. Select Edit or Revisit next to School District Taxes and complete the screens that follow.   If you entered your school district code in the W-2 section of the Federal return, the Ohio interview will have it and will inform you if anything needs to be revised. The W-2 interview does allow you to enter Ohio school district codes.    You should file an SD 100 if you:   Lived in a taxing school district at any point during the tax year, Received any type of income while you were a resident, AND You have a tax liability on that income (SD 100, line 8). Important: You may have a school district income tax liability even if you do not have an Ohio income tax liability. In such cases, you must file both an SD 100 and an IT 1040. If you lived in a taxing school district and received income, ODT recommends you file an SD 100, even if you don’t have a tax liability, to avoid failure-to-file billings.   See this Ohio DOR webpage for more information.   You can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated and to find a line item on your state return. See here for details. You can also view the Tax Summary under Tools on the left-side menu in TurboTax Online.

Just a guess, but if you are using Bank of America, be aware that in larger states, BOA may have 2 routing numbers--one that is used for paper checks and one that is used for ACH electronic deposits.    So for some people using BOA, the correct routing number to use may not be on the paper check.   If that's your situation,  you should be able to get the correct electronic ACH routing number in your online Bank account, or by looking up your state on the BOA website, or by phoning BOA.    Of course, if this is not BOA, then none of this paragraph will apply to you.   There may be a couple of other banks that have a similar situation in some states.  So if your bank uses different ones for different regions of your state or for paper checks vs. electronic deposits, either look it up in your online bank account or phone your bank to verify which routing number to use.
