Because i have some stocks loaned out already in 2026 that are paying me, i had clicked not only "You got it in 2025" but also  "You intend to get it in 2026. See examples".  Clicking  this box linked it to a schedule C. When i unclicked  this box, it worked without going into the schedule C route. I guess it interpreted that "You intend to get it..." as a business.

For seniors, TurboTax is automatically including the $6,000 senior deduction when filing Arizona state income tax. However, this seems to still be under consideration with the state legislature and not finalized.  The Arizona Dept. of Revenue website currently states as follows: "Who can file now without expecting an amended return?  Taxpayers are unlikely to need to file an amended return if they: Take the standard deduction, and  Do not plan to claim the deductions related to:  Overtime compensation Tipped Income Qualified Vehicle Loan Interest The $6,000 senior deduction  Taxpayers who meet this criteria can file now without expecting delays or an amended return related to conformity. About two-thirds of taxpayers fall into this group, which means they are not affected while conformity is resolved. "   So it appears that taking the $6,000 senior deduction (or other deductions as listed above) may require filing an amended return.  If I e-file my Arizona return now, will I have to pay an additional TurboTax e-file fee if I have to file an amended return in the future?  Also, why is TurboTax including this deduction when it has not been finalized?

Remove any space in your name, if there’s one, because TurboTax reads spaces like extra characters and that can cause errors. I had a 2555T form last year, but not for this year's taxes.   When I try to delete this tax form for this year, it does not exist in the tax forms.  However, I need to update this form when I go to review the federal taxes, so it must exist somewhere.   How can I delete this form? Thank you

I had excess Roth IRA contributions for 2025 refunded to me in March of 2026. I need to report the excess and earnings refunded on my 2025 return. My financial institution stated they will send my 1099R to me in January 2027. Turbo Tax is requiring I enter the 1099R information now and I can't bypass this. How do I report this in Turbo Tax w/o the 1099R? Or is this a bug in the software?

Those are just the instructions for line 17, you would enter $150,000 if you are not married filing jointly, for married filing joint returns you would enter $300,000.  In your case, since you are single the entry for this line should be $150,000.     You should not need to change any numbers on the Schedule 1-A because TurboTax calculates this line on the schedule based on your filing status.  If you have a different amount, you will need to go back through your My info section and check what your filing status is.

When did you efile or mail it? If you efiled was it Accepted? When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Check back though your emails and spam/junk folder. How to check your efile status https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/electronic-filing/check-e-file-status/L9XhHDPtD_US_en_US?uid=lvriwl8j When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say? If your account says Printed or Ready to Mail that means you have to actually print out your tax return and mail it to the IRS yourself. So it has not been filed yet. And it will always say Ready to Mail. Turbo Tax doesn’t know if or when you mailed it and the IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your mailed return.

After finishing my U.S. return, I start on Maryland. There I see the following prompt: Next, keeping in mind that I'm a Part-Year MD resident (no place of abode there after June 30, and having established new domicile in Pennsylvania on July 1) as set forth in the part-year residence resident box on the first page of MD Form 502, I get to the following screen: This automatic subtraction is incorrect. Recall that $524 is ALL of my interest on U.S. government obligations. As we know, I will only recognize the portion of the dividends I received from the relevant mutual fund while I was a Maryland resident (see below), and I can only deduct the portion of the interest I received from U.S. government obligations while I was a Maryland resident. There is, however, no obvious way for me to correct it. Eventually, I come to the following prompt: This prompt is a bit of a head-scratcher, but I figure my income received while a resident of a state other than Maryland (PA income, in my case) includes, among other things, all of the dividends paid by the relevant mutual fund while I was a PA resident less the interest on U.S. government obligations paid by the fund while I was a PA resident (doing the math, the latter amount comes to $311.46).    So far, I think I've done everything TurboTax has asked me to do. But when I look at my Maryland Form 502SU, line AB, and Maryland Form 502, line 13, I see that TurboTax has deducted ALL of my interest from U.S. Government obligations for the entire year ($524) from my Maryland income. That amount can't be right. It exceeds the amount of interest I received from U.S. Government obligations while I was a resident of Maryland. In fact, it exceeds the amount of all of the dividends I received from the relevant fund while I was a resident of Maryland. So what to do? (More . . . )

Did you use TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online)?    If you used TurboTax Desktop, then your returns are only saved on your computer, not on our servers. Try looking in the TurboTax folder in your Documents folder, or use the built in Windows search to look for .tt24 files.   If you used TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), did you login directly to 2024 to see if your return was there? You can login to TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online) 2024 here: https://ww1.2024.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/   If it wasn't there, do you have more than one account? If you do, your return might be there.
thanks, Mindy. Doesn't the IRS clearly define an estimated payment for 2025 as one made before January 15, 2026? Won't I get some sort of mismatch notice (CP30 or CP16) notice?
my printed forms are in my file, fees were to be deducted from my refund, has not been received by IRS, what should i do now?
