Huge bug in 2025, I imported my 1099-B, 1099-INT, and 1099-DIV... after finishing income section, turbo tax zero'd out the entire dividend to $0. I revisited the section, all the information was there, but totaled $0.   Finally at the end during the review section, I went back through the entire income section again. It finally added it back in.   HSA 1099-SA also had two places to enter the same information but the 1099-DIV was the big mistake, that couldn't be corrected until the end.

Thank you.  I made sure MI is in box 15 on the Federal 1099-R entry form but still unable to make the change on the State of MI return.  The only thing I can think of is that the distribution was an RMD from an inherited IRA my wife received which Michigan considers as taxable income.
@deyan There are currently no plans to release a Mac version of Windows Desktop. Mac users can use TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), or you can use the TurboTax on a mobile device.
It's interesting that my spouse did not get the same error message as I did.

I am trying to report my 'credit for allocated share of tax paid by an electing flow-through entity' for Michigan as reported to me on my S Corp K-1. This should be line 30 on the MI-1040 form. I have found a few other posts about this, but no resolution so far.   Last year I was able to do this (line 29 on the MI-1040 form) without a problem. When I look at the form in TurboTax this year it says "Not Supported" on line 30, see below for screenshot:

I have Turbo Tax Premier 2025.  When I go to enter my IPPIN Turbo Tax rejects it. The problem is that the entry field only accepts five digits. My IPPIN is six digits. In order to electronically file my federal tax return, I had to turn off IPPIN on the IRS government site. Next i entered a random five digit number to satisfy Turbo Tax,

When I save the tax file as a PDF it does not include the worksheets. For example the donation worksheet, the RRSP worksheet, the RPP worksheet, etc. none of these get saved in the PDF.   The only way to ensure I have a copy of the worksheets is to go into Forms view and print each of them individually.   In the forms view select 'file' 'print'. You then get the option to either print the return or print the individual form you are on at the time. If you select 'print return' it takes you out of forms view to the 'save a copy' screen where you can select to save a PDF. But the resulting PDF does not save the worksheets, just the forms that go with the return.   If you select 'print individual form' when it asks you to select a printer you can select Save-As-PDF. But it only saves that individual form/worksheet as PDF. You have to go through them one by one to save the worksheets. I cannot find any other way.   It is a real pain. Why doesn't TurboTax include an option to save the entire file including worksheets?

Thank you.  The Coop's name is listed as the recipient/Lender. My name is listed in the payer's/borrower's name.  The last 4 of my SSN are listed on the Payer's/Borrowers' TIN.  My apt is listed on Street address.   Should I answer anything differently?   I don't see an option for: On the page "Do any of these situations apply?" choose "Our names are not on the 1098."   The below questions are being listed.  Should I delete my current answer and leave the below blank?   1. Do any uncommon situations apply? Someone co-owns this loan, and I only pay a portion of it. The seller is financing this loan and I didn't receive a 1098. None of these apply.   2. What kind of property is this loan for? Primary home This is where you live most of the time—can be a house, condo, mobile home, or other property types. Second home This is usually a vacation home. It can be rented out part-time as long as you live there for a certain amount of time each year. Other This includes rentals you don’t live in and business properties.   3. Did you pay points in 2022 when you took out the loan? I paid points when I refinanced, purchased a second home, or opened a home equity loan in 2022. I have already deducted all the points I paid in 2022, or I didn't pay any points.   4. Is this 1098 the most recent for your loan?  If you only have one 1098, select Yes. When you refinance or your lender sells your loan, you’ll get 1098s for the original and the new loan. When this happens, we need to know which is the most recent. Yes No   5. Let’s get some details about this loan This helps us know how much interest you can deduct this year. Learn more This loan is a home equity line of credit (HELOC). This loan is a refinance of a previous loan. This loan is neither of these.   Thank you for your help.

Using the annualized method may serve to reduce penalties that were calculated without that method if your income fluctuates throughout the year, as @CesarJ pointed out. You still need to make any required quarterly payments by the due dates.    See this TurboTax blog article and this one for more information.   @TaxFiler5467

Why does Turbo Tax have an option for  time and a half and double time? That is a little confusing. Should I enter my overtime hours into the time and a half or the double time bucket?

If you are not getting the $2000 credit for your AC heat pump tax credit first be aware that this is a nonrefundable tax credit. This means it can only reduce your tax liability to zero. It does not result in a refund of taxes. If your tax liability is already $0, or if the credit exceeds what you owe, you will not receive the full $2,000 credit.   You can look at your Form 1040, line 18 to see if you have any tax liability to make sure this isn't why you are getting the credit.   Next, make sure your entries in TurboTax are correct. You can review your entries in TurboTax using the steps below:   Click on Search in the top right of your TurboTax screen Type residential energy credit in the search box Click on the link Jump to residential energy credit This will take you to the input screen in TurboTax to enter your information regarding your new water heater Your screen will say Energy Efficient home improvements Answer Yes to I made these energy-efficient improvements or have a carryforward and click on Continue Answer Yes to my home is in the U.S. and Continue through your TurboTax screens  On the screen that says Did you have any of these residential-related clean energy costs in 2025? Answer No and Continue On the screen that says Did you have any of these qualified energy-efficient improvements in 2025? Select No and Continue On the screen that says Did you have any of these residential energy property costs in 2025? Click on Yes and Continue On the screen that says Tell us more about the residential energy property, make sure to answer that the home is located in the United States, Did you pay for a home energy audit Yes or No, Was the qualifying energy property originally placed in service by you? Yes On the screen that says Enter your qualified energy property costs, you will enter your QMID and the cost of your AC  Heat Pump On the screen Did you install improvements or replacements for enabling property? Say Yes if you installed panelboards, branch circuits etc required to support the improvements, and if not, say No and Continue The next screen says Improvements or replacements installed for enabling property, select the one that applies and enter your QMID and the cost you paid for all materials, and Continue Continue through your TurboTax screens to complete your entries regarding your energy credit.   Note: You need a Qualified Manufacturer Identification (QMID) code to claim the federal tax credit for your AC Heat Pump system.   If you do not have a QMID (Qualified Manufacturer ID) for your product, you can contact the manufacturer directly to request their 4-digit code. The QMID is assigned to the manufacturer, not the installer.   You can also try checking with your installer for it or it may be on your  "Manufacturer Certification Statement," which should list the necessary information for Form 5695, including your QMID. You can try googling it.   Click here for Where do I enter qualified energy-saving improvements? Click here Energy-Efficient Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit   Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.   {Edited 03/22/2026|06:19 PST} @NCperson

I'm trying to figure out if I can deduct the $8,000 contribution I put into a Rollover IRA the end of Dec 2025. The Rollover IRA was from a previous employer and I had the account set up several years ago. I am > 50 and I do not have a retirement plan through work. If it's deductible, how do you enter it on Turbo Tax Deluxe? It says you can't enter Rollover IRA contributions under the Traditional IRA section. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
When will the mac version be available in Canada?
