@radhay  asked:  "Unable to connect to Fidality NetBenefits and it says "... not available for data import and contact in October 17 2026 :)"   I think in prior years it was not possible to import from Fidelity NetBenefits.  I'm not sure if that's still the case, but I can ask someone who would likely know to join this thread later this morning.   @SteamTrain  Are you still familiar with Fidelity NetBenefits?    Thanks!
Coverage information in column B is zero, but Turbo Tax is saying that is not supposed to be. Well, it is. How do I e-file without having this information?
the tax rules say if you had family coverage your spouse has family coverage so that's what you select.
Can I ignore the 5329-T?
Maine paid fanily and medical leave = emergency family leave .

TurboTax stopped using CDs after tax year 2023.   The desktop software is still available, but only as a download to install on your computer.   The desktop Deluxe edition is a more fully-featured product than Online Deluxe, but if you are using Windows, it requires Windows 11.  It will not install on Windows 10.         Desktop Deluxe can be used to prepare multiple returns, has Forms Mode for direct viewing and even editing of forms, and can handle all tax forms including Schedules C,D,E,F, and enter K-1.    If purchasing desktop Deluxe somewhere other than directly from TurboTax, you have to be careful since it comes in 2 versions depending on whether you need to prepare a state return-- Deluxe Federal only, or Deluxe Federal and State.   There are up to 5 free Federal efiles, but each efiled state return has a $25 efile fee, except for New York state.     There is no efile fee to print and mail the state returns.   In contrast, Online Deluxe can only prepare 1 Federal return per account per year.   Each additional Federal return would require a separate account and separate fee.  In Online Deluxe there is a fee for Federal return preparation and a fee for state return preparation (if applicable).   Efiling is free.      A big limitation of Online Deluxe is that it cannot handle all the forms.   For example, it cannot handle Schedule C with expenses; cannot handle Schedule D for capital gains/losses from stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.; cannot handle Schedule E or F, and cannot enter a K-1.

I have been experiencing the same issue. I do not have foreign accounts and tell TurboTax repeatedly I do not have foreign accounts yet Part III Foreign Accounts and Trusts 7a remains checked yes. The patch of deleting Form 8938 is not an available option. I've deleted and re-entered my 1099-DIV's so many times and whether I include a 1099-INT or 1099-DIV or nothing at all, TurboTax continues to include Schedule B with box 7a checked yes, 7b checked no and 8 checked no.   TurboTax automatically rechecks the box indicating [Owned or signed on a foreign bank, broker, or other financial account. We've already selected the second option for you because the FATCA box has been selected on one (or more) of your Forms 1099.]   The FACTA box is not checked on any of my forms. I have triple checked every 1099 and none of them have box 11 checked, and again this is the result whether I include or exclude any investment and/or savings information.   How soon will this bug loop be fixed?
Every transaction for a JP Morgan managed bond fund requires the digital asset to be set manually. How can this be avoided?

since this was what was reported to the iRS and most importantly, the gain is correct, you can't really do anything. there's no way to adjust both proeeds and cost because they would net to zero.    there could have been fees deducted from your proceeds, and thus the broker would not have deducted them from proceeds but added then to cost.
Thanks for that information mindy, What if the employer intentionally put it on 1099-NEC, what should i do
not enough info.  how is it used in your real estate gig? do you have multiple properties?
is the CD deluxe version still available?

@ diannevanasse  ADDENDUM  I provided the shortcut method above to go directly to the estimated tax payments entry section.   If you want to use regular navigation, here's how.  So between the 2 methods, you should be able to use one or both of them.   When you click in the left column tab for Deductions & Credits, it may take you to a page called "Your Tax Breaks".   That shows the "Tax Breaks", i.e., deductions, that someone has already worked on this year or that TurboTax is expecting from what was entered last year.   Lower on that same screen should be a button or link for "Add more tax breaks" or "Show more tax breaks" or similar wording.   When clicked, then the screen should expand, and all the deduction topics are displayed including "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid."  Then that topic can be expanded further to get the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments.
