Can you clarify what erro you are getting? Did you already file your federal return? @fsunolethree

I have Turbo Tax Desktop and it will not accept an explanation. I type in the box and then what I type disappears. There should be a fix for this glitch. When can we expect it?

TT has input an item under interest income that I do not recognize! By that I mean it showed up in Schedule B after I had imported my data, and I cannot see it in the paperwork I have received. TT has a "data source" feature, and it lists about 5 potential tables to check. I do not have any of them specifically. The item does not show up in the list of forms, as do the other Schedule B items. A closer look as I write this shows it to be a UST Note. There is a long list of numbers and the words "Accrued Market Discount". I guess that gives me a clue for further searching but does anyone have a suggestion? Interest on US Savings bonds is usually printed on the relevant 1099-INT.

If I do the math the premiums listed in box #5 on my 1099r appear not to include the amount I pay for my dental insurance - Does anyone have or see this same issue and have a answer?? THANKS

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

I am having the exact same problem with my Merrill Lynch account. Entering data manually is not practical as I would probably have to input several hundred data points which would be fraught with errors I'm sure. Seems like someone at TT needs to get together with someone at Merrill and get this resolved. I have done this uploading for years without a problem until this year.

You can certify that you did not have a healthcare.gov account in 2025 using a Desktop version of TurboTax as follows:
Go to Deductions & Credits
Go to Medical
Select Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)
At the question, " Do you need to report any 1095-As?" select No.
Note that your return may be rejected if the IRS has information that someone in your household should have a 1095-A. If you're not sure if someone in your household purchased insurance through HealthCare.gov or your state's Marketplace, check those websites for an account.
Please see this help article for more information on entering Form 1095-A information in TurboTax.
Please see this tax tips article for more information about the Premium Tax Credit.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to call... there doesn't seem to be a good direct online way to get support for technical issues (they all appear to be for different levels of tax questions or to get a recommendation for which version of TurboTax I should buy), and I'd like to just copy and paste the entire description that you responded to. 🤔

I see that this RMD entry problem existed in February 2025. Well, it's now February 2026 and the same thing is happening to me. I have two traditional IRAs with Vanguard, and I inputted all the 1099-R info for each one. Only one distribution is showing up in my filing, and it's costing me a very large penalty...as well as loss of sleep. Is anyone else having this problem?
