Can you keep it for a small fee? It was a feature, now you are taking candy from the baby. Charge for the cost plus one cent, just to keep it going. You took it away and brought it back and are taking it away again. Now I'm more pissed than if you didn't bring it back. You need to explain how it is IMPOSSIBLE to bring back EVEN with charging a small fee. Add it to the app as an option and let the customer decide if its worth the fee. Back it "reward" for loyal customers after 2 years. Think of something.

It's not possible to file now, and it's way too early to even consider filing a 2025 return. With all the new tax law changes this year, the IRS has not even finalized all of the 2025 forms, and TurboTax is still programming the software for 2025 returns. There will be many software updates in the next few weeks before things become fully functional. And historically, the IRS doesn't open for efiling until close to the last week of January. Although TurboTax may allow efiling in early January, be aware that any returns filed at that early time will just sit on TurboTax servers where they cannot be retrieved if something needs to be changed or anything added. The IRS will start pulling returns in late January when it opens for 2025 filings, except for a few returns that they pull early for testing purposes.

We just have the 1 county tax (no separate school tax) that's paid twice a year. The 2nd installment for 2025 was pro-rated in escrow so that I paid for the time corresponding to my ownership (the seller paid the full amount to the county and then was reimbursed for my portion via escrow). And then the 1st 2026 installment should have been fully paid by me next year, but I needed to add in extra closing costs (or lose part of the seller concessions) so I paid it via escrow, but I'm 100% certain that amount solely corresponds to the time when I'll own the house. I'm pretty clear on what's my amount and what's theirs, I just didn't know if the seller concession affected who could claim on their taxes.

Thank your for the response and a link to the article. That is of very little value. Maybe if you are on Windows 10 it's an advantage but a product should not be developed and marketed to support old technology and expect those with newer technology to jump on board. If you are going to offer a product you should have a real value differentiation to a wider market. Other wise the ROI will be minimal. The value of this product is limited to windows 10 users users.

As a long‑time TurboTax customer, I want to share feedback that could help Intuit strengthen both sales and customer loyalty. Right now, TurboTax Online is priced significantly higher than the desktop download/CD version, yet it offers fewer advantages for many users. The desktop version allows up to 5 federal e‑files plus one state program at a one‑time cost, while the online version charges per return and per state, making it far less competitive. From a customer perspective, this creates a clear value gap: Families or individuals filing multiple returns save far more with the desktop version. Online users end up paying more for essentially the same functionality, with only cloud access as a differentiator. The perception is that Online is overpriced, which discourages adoption and erodes trust. Recommendation: If Intuit wants to grow TurboTax Online usage, the pricing should be aligned with the desktop model or offer added value that justifies the premium. Competitive pricing would not only increase Online adoption but also build stronger customer loyalty by showing that Intuit values fairness and transparency. TurboTax has earned its reputation as the most trusted tax software. Aligning Online pricing with the desktop version would reinforce that trust and encourage more customers to stay within the TurboTax ecosystem. Respectfully shared in the spirit of helping TurboTax succeed.

I had made a donation on 8/29/25 and there should have been a pop up or SOMETHING to tell me what I was about to be in store for. I get a ton of crap email (I wish I had software to tell me exactly WHO sold my email address to all those stupid nonsense places that email me with garbage.). so I never saw the email in September and I never got to save my donation info for the year. I was so mad. I went to the app and got a pop up and couldn’t even access my stuff at all after 10/21 Tonight I went to the ID app. I didn’t get any pop that said it was no longer available. I was able to see every donation I made all year!! I took screen shots of all of the donations. All 25 of them. I clicked on add a donation and it worked as it always did. I THOUGHT they reinstated it. I was happy. I didn’t actually add anything though. Then I went back a few minutes later and I got the pop up message that said the app is no longer available. THAT IS SOOOOO CRAZY!! (But I’m not as mad as I was. Still mad I have to find a new way to look up all the values. I have 5 bags of stuff that’s been taking up space that needs to get donated. But I’m glad I got my screen shots. Was it a glitch or was it Devine Intervention? Idunno but I’m glad it happened!!)

Or...if it was rejected --not filed -- it is too late to file it to get a refund even if a refund is shown on the form. Or is there something else?---Did you receive a letter from the state about the return?

It's possible that after paying, a person may not have proceeded to the very end to actually transmit the return, or an efiled return could have been rejected. Or if you chose to print and mail the return rather than efiling, did you physically print, sign, date, and mail the return? TurboTax does not mail it for you. The steps below will tell you how and where to look in your online account to see what the status of the 2024 return is. Once you find the 2024 return, does it say accepted, rejected, printed, started, or something else? How to find the 2024 online return depends on whether or not you have started a 2025 online return. Sign in to your account. What you see next depends on whether or not you have already started a 2025 return in that account. If your left column menu is minimal, and does not have a Tax Home tab displayed, that would imply you have not started preparing a 2025 return in that account. If you haven't yet started a return, it will start asking you some questions. Answer those preliminary questions on a few screens (you don't actually have to prepare a return), and then when you are far enough into the process, the left menu column will change, and you'll then see a Tax Home option in the left menu column. Do not click the Documents tab. Instead, click on Tax Home. Then on the Tax Home screen, scroll way down to the bottom to "Your Tax Returns & Documents". Expand that section and choose the past year you want. If your past returns are not shown there, then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one. If that's your situation, we can tell you how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts.

A PDF can be opened in Adobe Reader or another PDF reader, or it can be opened in a browser. If you are having trouble viewing the PDF, first download it to your computer, then open it from there.

@Kaitlynndurham21 wrote: "It's been almost a year and I still have yet to receive my tax return." I assume you mean a Federal tax refund. Did you efile the return? If so, was the efile accepted? Approximately 24-48 hours after efiling, you should have received an email stating if it was accepted or rejected, or you could have checked in your online TurboTax account (you can still check there, and we can give you instructions to do so.) If accepted for processing, what do you see when you use the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool? https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund See what is displayed there about your refund. Is there any message? If that tool shows it's still processing, we can tell you how to phone the IRS to see if you can get information. If unsuccessful with the IRS, we can tell you how to phone the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service, who are most likely to assist you if you have an economic hardship.

If you used Online TurboTax previously and now can't find the past online return(s), then you either didn't proceed far enough into your 2025 online return to find them (you don't have to actually prepare the 2025), or you could have multiple accounts. I'll discuss both scenarios below. This answer assumes your previous returns were prepared in Online TurboTax. Any return prepared in desktop TurboTax will not be in an Online account. Here's how one would normally find past-year online returns and how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts (User IDs) if necessary. Many people end up with more than 1 account. The pathway to download the PDF or tax data file depends on whether or not you have started an online 2025 return. I provide both scenarios below, so choose which one is appropriate for your situation. If you have not yet started a 2025 online return: Sign in to your account. I'll tell you below how to troubleshoot. If you have already started a 2025 online return: Log in, and if you've already started a 2025 return in that account, then it may already open at the Tax Home. If not, click the Tax Home tab in the left column menu. Do not use the Documents tab. At the Tax Home scroll down and expand "Your Tax Returns & Documents." If the past returns are not there, see the steps below. If you do all that and can't find the past return, here's how to look for multiple accounts: You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes. A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be. It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all. To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below. When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it. After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access. NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session. https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access, here's another method: Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.
