@repostiii    You can save $$ by buying and installing the desktop software on a full Windows or MAC computer  (Windows 11 required....Mac Sonoma 14 minimum).   With the desktop software you can create as many tax files as needed....but only e-file 5 of them, the rest would have to be printed and mailed in.  But you only need 4  (if your children worked or had reportable income).   You get one free state software, but State e-file is $20-$25). TurboTax Desktop | Download Tax Software (tends to be cheaper at Amazon...but if you need a state and use Deluxe, make sure you buy the version with one free state software set...and only TTX versions from Amazon Software Services)     For Online prep, you would have to create separate accounts for each tax return you need to file....and pay the full bill for each

I’m seeing what appears to be an issue with how TurboTax is comparing income between years. When I review the income comparison, TurboTax shows my prior year income as multiple times higher than my income this year, which is not accurate based on my records. The difference is extremely large and doesn’t make sense. I’m trying to understand: Is this a known issue in the current TurboTax version? Could this be related to importing last year’s return, W-2s, or other income forms? Is this just a comparison display issue, or does it affect calculations elsewhere? If anyone has experienced something similar or knows what might cause this, I’d appreciate any guidance on what to check or how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

It should be noted that if you're an employee, business use of your personal vehicle is not deductible. If you are a repair shop.  You can deduct it as supplies.  If you're working on a classic car, you can add the costs to the original price, but not deduct the cost directly. @TODD-ZIEBARTH Edited [02/01/2026: 5:55 AM PST]

As of last year, TurboRax was providing a way to estimate value of donated items. I cannot longer find that tool instead it asks for a whole monetary value of the donated items

The Tax professional didn't even answer correctly.   Did she even read the original question?   Why is there a question on TurboTax 2025 asking if we got the 2021 Tax Rebate for $260 for single filers but did not enter into our taxes until 2023?  We entered them in 2023 so why is TurboTax asking us to enter it again on our Tax year 2025?  Is this a question that TurboTax should delete off the 2025 tax year questions?  Simple question, can we get a logical answer?  (Why are they asking for it again?)

I so agree...I have spent hours and asked 3 experts and none of them are aware of bugs or any updates.  I plan to hold off at least a week or two to see if anything changes. It is beyond frustrating and even more so when you've done your due diligence and saved receipts/records etc and you're ready to enter the room & board and the boxes don't appear (like they have for the past 3 years)!! Fingers crossed something changes...

My employer includes my tips directly into my pay, so on my w2 it’s all one amount. Our payroll dept told us to use the tip amount from our last paystub from last year when doing our taxes with the new tip deductions, but I don’t see anywhere on turbo tax when filing to input the tip amount. Am I missing something?
