The 5695 still isn't available today. And, if you try to complete it manually, you get "Smart Check" errors that want you to complete sections you shouldn't be completing. Eg.  I am only filing for windows and doors and it is trying to force me to complete Pt II Section B which IRS clearly states should be left blank. I shouldn't be forced to redo my taxes online when I already paid for the desktop version. This is so **bleep** frustrating.

Since you acquired the vehicle before September 30, 2025 and put it into service in 2025, you may qualify for the energy credit. You need to answer the questions on the screen in TurboTax that says Vehicle Details, in the Energy-efficient vehicles section in TurboTax. If you did that and are not getting the credit, please clarify what you are seeing so we can better assist you.

You can wait six weeks to make a payment or you can pay now making certain that the payment is applied to the correct year and then you'll just have a credit on your account until they process your return.

By law, all payroll contributions are made by the employer.  What is happening here is, your wife agrees to a voluntary salary reduction (so she has less taxable income) and the employer contributes the money, plus any employer match.   That's how this type of plan works in the regulations.     Later in the program, only enter direct contributions she made out of pocket and not via payroll.  

The information for this form isn't entered until you are at the final step of tax filing. You will be asked about this after you have entered your direct deposit information.           If you do indicate that you would like to sign up, the software will ask for more information about the child (ren) and request an electronic signature before moving forward.     If this wasn't done, you you still have time to select the option of “Not Interested.” You may just need to continue the process of filing. This year you can enter the premium portion of your overtime and that amount may be an additional deduction on your tax return, meaning you will not pay Federal Income Tax on that amount.    If your regular pay is 20 and overtime is paid at time-and-one half, your overtime would be paid at 30/hr. The deduction would be 10 dollars (the premium portion) per overtime hour.    Since the law was signed so late in the year, your W-2 may, or may not, report the amount of overtime in Box 14 on your 2025 Form W-2.   Enter your W-2 into the TurboTax program and continue through the interview that follows asking about tips and overtime.    If you are eligible for the Additional Deduction, it will be posted on Schedule 1-A and flow to your Tax Return Form 1040 line 13b.    HERE is an IRS link that explains more about the deduction for overtime as well as tips. 

Let's look at the actual rules, then what you have and did to get a final answer. Same problem here.  I purchased TT2025 Home & Business from Amazon, downloaded the software (I think it downloaded) had to also download some other software so it will "work" on a Mac... the only thing I get is a loop to go to Intuit, sign into my account, and then all sorts of other junk from Intuit pops up.  Nowhere to type in my serial number for the purchase I just made.  I have used TT on a PC for years with no problem.  This is extremely frustrating!  I feel your pain.
