Box 14 is an informational box from your employer. It may have the state unemployment insurance and paid family leave. You may want to contact your employer to determine what numbers are there and why. If your income is below the filing threshold for NY, box 14 will have no effect and isn't important.
NY gov states:
You are required to file if you have any NY source income and your New York AGI (federal amount column) exceeds your New York Standard Deduction. See 2025 NY Standard Deduction Amounts:

I have rental property that I depreciate every year on my federal tax return. I have been doing this for many years. I keep the Turbo Tax software from past years on my computer, thinking that when I do my current tax return, it looks back to prior year software to transfer data for that rental property into my current tax return. Do I need to keep all those past years of Turbo Tax software on my computer? Also, I have a Windows 10 computer. I understand that Turbo Tax software for tax year 2025 will not work on a Windows 10 computer. If I buy a new computer with Windows 11, can I install those past years Turbo Tax software, which has my tax files in it, on the new computer so that when I do the 2025 tax return it will calculate the correct depreciation for my rental property?

So I prepared two returns. The first one I entered 1099-R in forms mode (first time ever) and the second one I entered information through the interview process as usual. Good news is same results. My official return, however, will be the interview one. While I can make edits in forms mode, it doesn’t allow me to make edits or delete unnecessary forms transferred from last year. It does allow me to add payers, which I did, but once entered, it doesn’t allow me to edit the new manually entered information from the interview screen. So the interview screen nowbshows three payers from last year showing needs review plus those same three that I entered manually from the interview mode. I cannot delete or modify any of them from the interview mode.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

@MarianneC2 Feb 3rd, 2025: Mortgage was paid off for old house. Proceeds used as downpayment on new house Feb 11th, 2025: New Mortgage for new house closed This mortgage was transferred/sold by my lender twice in 2025. (once in March and again in October). I wasn't sure if this really mattered or not since it's the same mortgage, it just changed lenders.

No, if you only have residency in one state, only use that state as the one in which you live.
If you earned income in a different state as a travel nurse, you will choose "Yes, I made money in another state".
Depending on the states involved, you may need to pay state income tax to the state in which you worked and/or the state in which you live.
If the income is taxed by both states, the resident state will give you credit for the tax paid to the non-resident state.
In TurboTax, enter the non-resident state tax return information first so that the program will know how much tax to take as a credit on the resident state return if applicable.
