Not if purchased in the US (inexplicable!).  I do realize this is a Canadian site. Many arrive here inadvertently seeking a reason for Intuit's idiotic policy (though we are glad our Canadian neighbors can still use Windows 10). P.S. Most of us didn't vote for the man in charge of our country and are embarrassed and ashamed.

@bgseng yes everyone is waiting and expectation is to start seeing updates again this week and in weeks following, but no one here knows exact date 1099R interview section will be released.  See what comes this week - if you are trying to input a 1099R for Q4 estimated tax purposes you can try using Forms mode or alternative online calculator like this for now https://www.dinkytown.net/java/1040-tax-calculator.html   (also ignore the email signup feature for 1099B and 1099R there is some bug there referring to Form 3903).
You are welcome. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any additional assistance. We'll be happy to assist.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

it looks the same.  1099B section is currently closed for updates related to the big bill so we don't know what that looks like yet, probably going to be more an issue for cypto people.  But the 1099s are still organized in one list by payer.   Last year this was manageable using Forms mode for 1099-INT and DIV input but had to keep an eye on this 1099 list to clear anything that "needs review".
@user17675835682 You can still install the TurboTax Desktop for tax year 2025 on Windows 10, but we recommend using Windows 11.

@danielrosborne  unlikely Intuit will reverse course as you can see this thread has been going on for months, so at this point you'll need another plan.  Intuit have made it clear they're ok losing market share on lower revenue desktop s/w which is in decline, they are focused on online and live advice segments which are much larger revenue and growing.   if you want to use TT online there is an offer to switch from desktop to online premier for Fed and State at no extra cost for 2025.  this offer comes up when you try to install the s/w on Win 10 (it actually comes up for all desktop users).  But online has a different workflow (e.g. no forms mode) and you can only do 1 return.   many people have also solved this on Win 10 by setting up a Win 11 VM.   otherwise if not able/willing to upgrade to Win 11 at this point, you'll need to try alternative s/w - HRB is supporting Win 10.
Unfortunately, we do not have any current promotions. You can check back later because there may be some promotions available during tax season.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Also there is a bug in the email notification signup for 1099B and 1099R it thinks you want to know about Form 3903 for Moving Expenses which has nothing to do with it, so ignore those emails.   We're all waiting, we'll see what update comes this week, it's been a few weeks without one.   No one has 1099s yet so if you are trying to do estimates urgently for Q4 ES you can try using forms mode, or some other online calculator like this for now https://www.dinkytown.net/java/1040-tax-calculator.html

They said my tax return was NOT received and I was supposed to get a refund I never did, now they say the only reason they knew I filed was because of the IRS. They  say now I owe because it was never filed.  I don’t care if I don’t get my refund but I don’t want to owe for something that you said went through

@Asholtimhley  STOP uninstalling/installing.   You'll use up your # of allowed installations. _____________________ Several sections in the Wages & Income section are not available until 6 Jan (could be late in the day so don't check until the 7th), and not until later in January for some others. ________________________ Don't rush it. The IRS won't be accepting anyone's tax files until late in January, and most financial providers won't send out their tax forms for a few weeks yet. _________________ You can check many of the IRS & state tax form dates here (but it doesn't show W-2 or 1099-R forms) Intuit App

If a customer purchases the TurboTax 2025 Windows Desktop Deluxe Federal+State version but doesn't need the State feature, can the Deluxe Federal Only version be downloaded instead and activated with with "+State" product key? If not, during installation of the "+State" version it is possible to specify NOT to install the state aspects of the software so the resulting installation ends up being the same as the Federal-Only version?   SE

I filed by taxes using TurboTax last year. I received a CP28A notice from IRS stating that my mortgage interest deduction that was used in the filing was incorrect. I went through my 1098 and confirmed I entered the information correctly using TurboTax. The issue was I had paided down a significant portion of principal last year (from sale of another home). Here is a breakdown of my situation: Outstanding principal at the start: 1,995,215. Ending principal: 590,359. Interest paid during the year was: 103,886. TurboTax ended up using First and Last Balance method and computed the qualifying interest for deduction to being 60,254. From what I read online it looks like this might not be correct way to do since the rule shouldn't be applied since I pre-paid more than a month of principal. I found that using weighted monthly average 55,268 (since the pre-payment was done in July). So my questions are 1) What's the right way to calculate the interest deduction for my situation 2) Can I use TurboTax software to file an amendment (if I need to do so)? Kindly advice. Thanks.
