I wasn’t able to download my 2025 its deductible data before it became unavailable. Will I still be able to retrieve it?

Your suggestion is a good one, so let's set that aside for the moment.   Looking just at the technical aspect of the question, I do not believe that correcting entries on the Federal Carryover *Worksheet* is actually an override. Unlike a calculated field on a form with an override, I don't believe inputting a different value than was transferred from last year on a worksheet would prevent efiling. In retrospect, I should not have used the word "override" in my original comment.

@Click    1)  There are so many software and form updates needed between now and the end of January, that I "Strongly" suggest you start over with a new file in late January....after which, most of the critical bugs will have been fixed.  If you try to go with you current file, there might be some other errors that crop up that might be unfixable. AND 2)  The software will not allow you to e-file a tax return containing any fields with overrides or marked as being estimated numbers in them.  You would only be able to print and mail-file.   Thus, only use your early prep to get an idea of what the final filing might look like.   Starting over could be a bit of a pain, but it may well be less frustrating at the time you end up filing.

You'll list this out as an expense on Part V, Other expenses (Line 48). If you have an amount in Box 48 of a T4A slip (Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income), this amount represents fees for services and is considered self-employment income by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).    You must report this income by completing Form T2125, Statement of Business or Professional Activities, and claim any fees paid as expenses. For more information, refer to this TurboTax article: Tax Tips for Uber Drivers in Canada.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Never mind. I tested this using a new return and found that the bug has not been corrected as if 2025.47.5 (Nov 13, 2025).   And it appears that I'll have to leave the override in place all the way through to filing as there is no way to retrigger a transfer from last year without starting over (as far as I can tell).
Yes, you can use the 2025 TurboTax Deluxe desktop edition to report the capital loss carryover.

I applied updates this morning and was interested to see if this had been corrected. I went to the Federal Carryover Worksheet and removed my override under 2024 States Estimates Information. Now there is no entry. Is there a way to revert to the carryover data for that data entry without starting the return over?   Or can the transfer data from last year be run again without upsetting all the preliminary data entries I have on the rest of the return? I am certain this one data field is the only one that I've since modified.   Noted that I have no idea if the bug was fixed or not, so the question could be moot.

TurboTax gets no information at all from the IRS after you file your tax return.    Once your return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS is in control, and only the IRS can provide information to you.     TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst

Sorry---you cannot use a Chromebook to prepare a 2023 tax return using TurboTax.   You can only use the downloaded desktop software on a full PC or Mac--not on a Chromebook or any other mobile device.   See if a friend or family member can allow you to use the download on a PC or Mac.   Or....seek a refund for the fee you paid for the download and use some other software that can be used on a Chromebook.     To request a refund for a TT product https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/intuit-refunds/request-refund-turbotax-product/L834M6uyW_US_en_US?uid=m6meybc2

Each tax year has to be filed separately using the forms for the specific tax year.  They cannot be combined in any way--do not even put them in the same envelope when you mail them.  Software for past years is available back to 2022.  Any earlier years can only be prepared on paper forms by hand--and those refunds have been forfeited now. Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and  2024 is permanently closed. Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.   To file a return for a prior tax year  If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024  you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s) https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.   Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0   When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
I forgot to file my taxes for the year 2023. Can I do that here and now?
