Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst

You might have more than one account and will need to find your old account.  Or if you used desktop software, the old returns are stored only on your own hard drive.     Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/many-intuit-accounts-turbotax/L9aVfKS1Z_US_en_US?uid=ll5g6zcx Account Recovery     Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/find-last-year-tax-data-file-tax-file-computer/L0XJvPaJr_US_en_US?uid=m6gufxei     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/data-systems/find-tax-data-file-mac/L4VNGm33S_US_en_US?uid=m6guhab0 You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $30, an actual copy of your tax return. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

I also received an email following claims of a call (which I did not receive).  Here's my response:                           Thanks so much for getting back to me but it's a bit too late now that Intuit has, once again, decided to discontinue the It's Deductible program (before the end of the 2025 tax year - how crappy is that!!!).  It's notable that Intuit apparently has ample resources for the totally ridiculous/worthless community badge program (complete with equally worthless membership stats and emails) but yet they can no longer provide a program that is extremely useful to track deductions for each tax year.    You have not only lost me as a customer (of probably 25 years) but it appears that many more Turbo Tax users are of a like mind and will be moving on.     There is no need to call me because the only resolution would be to continue the It's Deductible program and that's apparently not going to happen.  It's unbelievable to me that Turbo Tax didn't learn anything from customer input following a previous plan to discontinue the program.
Because of this error 80% was claimed instead of 50%. I entered everything correctly on my part but it was not done correctly by TurboTax now that myself and the cra has reviewed it

Yesterday, I received a call from Intuit TurboTax, but I was tied up with a prior commitment and couldn’t answer. They followed up with an email inviting me to schedule a call to discuss my concerns. The tone was surprisingly optimistic, suggesting they believed a resolution might be possible.   I spoke with a different representative this morning. She was pleasant and receptive, and took time to listen. However, she wasn’t able to offer any resolution or new information. In fact, she confirmed there’s currently no update regarding a delay or reversal of Intuit’s decision to sunset ItsDeductible.   I took detailed notes and will share a full recap later today. Thanks again to everyone supporting this effort to help Intuit recognize the impact of this decision—and the opportunity they still have to make it right.

I just Googled "will h&r block tax software require windows 11? Reply: No, H&R Block tax software does not require Windows 11. The company's official system requirements state that the software is compatible with Windows 10 or higher, meaning it will run on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.  I've been loyal to TurboTax for over ten years, and I am very comfortable with it, but I refuse to purchase a Windows 11 PC just for one application.  Online version? No thanks. In light of the common occurrences of hacking and data security breaches, expecting a responsible person with common sense to upload their financial "life" to a cloud server is equally preposterous.  It seems to me the most practical solution is to switch over to the H&R Block application, which raises the question: Are there any TurboTax users out there who have experience with the H&R Block application? Honest, unbiased comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@sanyog_jain , Namaste Jain-ji. Depending on the type and amount of hand holding you need , you could use  WhatsApp or similar way to communicate with an expert. Another , and often more productive but slower , method is to post your specific questions here and  one of us volunteers  should be able to help you solve your  problem.  Most of us  are  either retired tax professionals and/or significantly familiar with thew workings of TurboTax.  Most have been in this forum for donkey's  years. May I invite you to post your questions here ? Which country are you in ( India, Malaysia, Singapore  , ?? ) ?   Namaste ji   pk

I don’t get it, the cost of TurboTax keeps going up but key items, such as this, are being eliminated!!!! How does TurboTax justify this? I get not everyone uses this feature, but I’m banking at least 80-90% of TurboTax users do use it!!! I have been downsizing since march, donating to goodwill and library.  I still have more to go. How does upper mgt suggest I track my donations, get fair market value without looking up on the internet? That’s going to add time to my already busy life! I think it’s a bad idea and the powers to be should be ashamed of themselves!!! I have been using TurboTax for 20+ years and I guess it’s time to move on!!!! Turbo is going to lose a lot of customers over this!!!!
