Hi,   If your employer withheld taxes for a province other than Quebec, then you can transfer those amounts over up to a maximum of 45%.   See this Revenu Quebec link for more details.
This is not live chat.  Please ask a clearly worded complete question so someone will know how to help.

The federal extension had to be filed on or before April 15, 2025.   If you file your tax return on or before May 1, 2025, the IRS will see your zip code and know that you filed on time.

Hi @bonnie-denardis  Thanks for your question. In 2024, to qualify, your net income must be less than $44,325. Depending on your income and other factors, the age amount of $8,790 may be impacted.  Do you have other sources of income (pension, investments, employment) or are you splitting your income with a spouse?

Hello, TurboTax also have the feature to auto calculate the other fields for you if you just provide the input for the dividend. If you enter the value in box 24 there and move forward to the next step, it will populate other fields (box 25). However, the reason why we allow input in the other fields is to provide a way to override the values in case the value in the payslips is different from what is auto-calculated.  Regarding your question on catching any human input errors during the inputs, TurboTax already have the auto calculation feature which use the correct formula to calculate the values for you. If you choose to override the value, then there's no validation on that again

The experience you had in trying to enter a piece of used farm equipment as an asset with a 7 year class life has been reported to the developers for further investigation and resolution.   In the meantime, there is a way to enter this information with the proper 'farm equipment' classification.     As you go through the Assets section and enter the details for a new asset, select Farm Equipment, Animals, Agriculture as the initial category.   Then on the next screen select Farm Equipment.   Then enter the details for your asset.   When you are finished and move forward, look for the screen that is titled About Your Farm Equipment Depreciation and asks if your asset is either grain bins, cotton ginning assets, fences, or land improvements.   Answer 'Yes' to that question and the asset will be depreciated over 7 years instead of 5 years.     As you continue forward, there will be a check box where you can see the details of the asset to confirm the 7 year class life and the selection of F1 - farm equipment as the category.   @nwietgrefe  @sw-pa-farmer

Hi kellym8505!   I'm assuming you're using TurboTax Online, and you're on the screen that says "Tell us more about your spouse." If your spouse had income, but no social benefit repayments, you can enter the same amount in both of these boxes: Net income before adjustments from Spouse's 2024 federal tax return (line 23400). and Net income from Spouse's 2024 federal tax return (Line 23600)   See screeshot - boxes are indicated with red arrows.   If your spouse had no income, make sure you select "No" to the question "Was you spouse's net income for 2024 zero?".
