Hmmm…I see where it says it can be postponed, but I wonder if it was for this particular instance. Is there a way to be sure?

I had a hard time this year with Turbo tax.  I kept getting different answers.
Turbotax only asks questions about one of the LLCs and does not give me an option to add other other one. Is there a way I can add the other LLC as well?

I am specifically looking at the tables in T776 Area A and TP-128 Section 4.  I expect them to report the same values, but they are not.   Here's my example.  For the current year, I have purchased appliances for a rental apartment.  I enter in the CCA through Easy Steps, but validate this with the forms.     I am claiming these additions as class 8 for a total of 5000. In Area A of T776, column 3 "Cost of Additions", the sum shows up as the full value.  This is what I expect. In TP-128 Section 4, Column 3, this value shows up as half, 2500. This is not what I expect.  I would expect TP-128 Section 4, Column 3 to be the same as T776 Area A Column 3. This happens regardless of if I claim DIEP or AIIP.   So, are you saying that in the TurboTax is automatically applying the first year rule of 50% to the value in TP-128 Column 3?   I don't understand why that would happen.  Can you provide the documentation that explains why this happens automatically?   What happens if I don't claim the CCA for the year and let the 5000 be UCC for next year?  I've tried this and T776's Area A, Column 2, reports the full amount, but T128, Section 4, Column 2, still reports 50% of that value.

Q. If I sell my home that I lived in for 24 months out of the last 5 years but it was rented the rest of the time am I still allowed the home sale capital gains exclusion? A. Yes.    Furthermore, if the entire rental time occurred after you moved out, you do not have to prorate your exclusion amount.  However, you do have to "recapture" (include as income) the depreciation you claimed or should have claimed.    The TurboTax (TT) interview goes smoother if you enter the sale as a home sale and not as the sale of rental property.  You will make a single manual entry for the depreciation amount.

It normally takes the IRS about 30 days after you apply for the payment plan before they mail you information about your plan.  You should call the IRS and speak to an agent to verify that you have an application approved and find out when and how payments need to be made.   Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line. So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead. Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment". Then press 3 "for all other questions." Then press 2 "for all other questions." - When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything. - After it asks twice, you will get another menu. Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions. Then press 3 for all other inquiries It should then transfer you to an agent.

My 2023 tax return was rejected, so for this 2024 tax year, for me to receive my tax return I had to verify my identity with the IRS, to do that I need my 1040 series for the tax year of 2023. I have been trying to figure out how to receive my 1040 tax forum for an extremely long time now, when I talked to one of your representatives in the past they told me because my tax return for 2023 was rejected I would have to verify my id through the IRS, well I called the IRS and they stated they were confused as to why I was sent back their way when in fact the only way they can verify my identity is WITH the 1040 tax form… that they don’t have any access too… that I would have had to get from you guys…. Like a lot of people in the world I have a family and a lot of responsibilities so with that being said, I need someone who ACTUALLY knows what their talking about to answer me back please so I can move forward and receive the money I worked hard for .

Hello,  I filed my taxes back in February through TurboTax and I selected the payment plan option to pay back the federal taxes I owe. However, I have not heard back or gotten any updates about the payment plan from the IRS or TurboTax. I’m getting a little concerned because I don’t want the IRS to take out the full amount owed from my paycheck.  Any idea on how long this will take or if I should start calling the IRS?
