The fees are determined by the product edition used.  We can't see your fees in the forum, so we have to guess.  Did you use the Deluxe or the Premium version?   The Deluxe version is $79 for a Federal return, and each state return would be $64. The Premium version is $139 for a Federal  return, and $64 for each state.   You may be able to see your fees this way.   Go to the Tax Home and scroll down to "Your Tax Returns & Documents."   See if there is a link "View order details" somewhere in or near that section.   If you ended up in Premium when you really only needed Deluxe, or if you could have used Free Edition, have you already paid?  If you haven't paid, you may be able to downgrade if there's nothing in your return that requires Deluxe or Premium.    Here are the topics that can and cannot be prepared in Free Edition, and which would require an upgrade to Deluxe or higher:   FAQ:  Why do I have to upgrade from Free Edition? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/change-service-level/upgrade-free-editio...

What do I do?"   Have you already filed your return and got an efile rejection notice, or are you still in preparation and encountering an issue when you try to efile?   It's not clear which code you are talking about.   Here are a couple of possibilities.  Is either one your issue?   Since you said "in the mail", did you mean postal mail?   If so, were you referring to a 6-digit IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) that the IRS requires for certain victims of ID theft or to those who opt-in voluntarily to the program?  If you are supposed to use an IP PIN, we can tell you how to retrieve it at the IRS website.   Or are you referring to a 6-digit email verification code that some people have to enter when efiling to verify their email address?    If so, that comes in email, not postal mail.   If that's the issue, and if you are not getting it in your email, we can offer some suggestions.   We can tell you more when we fully understand your issue.

the 8995 doesn't go with your corporate return. It's only filed by individuals, estates and trusts. What the S-Corp provides its shareholders on line 17 of their K-1s is QBI income, W-2 wages, and unadjusted basis (of depreciable property) immediately after acquisition (UBIA). An S-Corp may not have the third item, but it would be unusual for there to be no wages.    what the IRS may do is match the K-1 info to the info the eligible taxpayer enters on their 8995      you have nothing to amend.

TURBO TAX COMBINED AGAIN THE PERSONAL AND MY CORPORATION INCOME TAX RETURN JUST LIKE THEY DID ON 2023 . WE CONTACTED REPRESENTATIVE, CONNECTED US TO EXPERT WHO WE EXPERIENCED CUT OFF AND NEVER CALL US BACK.THE NEW AMENDMENT IS ALMOST DONE BUT COULD NOT BE SENT TO IRS BY US. COULD YOU HELP ON THIS PROBLEM ?

The first charge was through Inuit, because I was trying to get an exchange since I am in a fixed income. But when I put my banking information it charge right away, then I tried to see if at least my taxes got pay through turbo tax, but it wasn't I had to file so that was charge yet again to complete my taxes. I put a refund request for Inuit, but when I check the refund tracker nothing comes up. Then I notice that there was another charge with the title to the irs, I asume that, that is the real charge for taxes, now I am trying to get my money back from the two charged because I am poor and need it for rent.

I used the turbotax online for filing my tax return last night, and Turbotax charged me $295.37 (Order #TTWC6EC269809756).  My tax situation is relatively simple: standard W-2 income and a limited number of stock transactions. However, your platform’s design led me to believe that the "Premium" service was a requirement rather than an elective add-on. I am requesting these refunds based on the following: Lack of Fee Transparency: The final cost was not clearly communicated until the very end of the process, at which point the time invested in the platform created a "sunk cost" pressure to proceed. Misleading Service Tiering: My return did not require the level of "expert" assistance or specialized features that justify a near $300 price tag. Deceptive: Upon reviewing my records and discussing this with friends, it is clear that I was led into the same unnecessary premium tier last year(Order# TTWC5EC848558639). I have been a loyal user, but the current pricing structure feels like a predatory tactic rather than a value-added service. I'd like to request a refund and only be charged for the necessary service.

I was able to do it by having two different login IDs with the same email, then, for the third return, I used one of the previous login IDs with a different email address. I prefer to use the desktop version but my "old" desktop does not support Windows 11 and I didn't want to buy a new desktop just to do my taxes.
