Since Turbo  Tax Business is not able to submit my return (for the first time in over 15 years) how do i get a refund for the State return that also has been rejected because the Federal return was rejected with a TY25_HSA and their is no way to fix it. I'll look for another provider in the mean time.
If I leave box 1 blank, and enter the actual tuition amount in the 'Actual amount paid for tuition' section, turbo tax is flagging it as an error.
TurboTax is trying to take ALL fees out of the state that has the least redund amount. How do I get it to come out of the other state instead? Or even the federal.
@user17753567941   Do you have the Desktop program?  Those are Desktop instructions.  The Online version is different and can only do 1 return.
Just an update... this same bug is in the '24 version and it reduced my refund last year as well. Why does turbotax have bugs that persist year after year?

I have to file a MA return and it does not populate correctly with the K-1 Form 1041 dividends in Schedule B of the Federal form.  I need the number to be in the form for the trust so MA doesn't think the income is zero.  Should I override TT and delete the trust dividends from Schedule B and put them on the trust form?  Is there a better way to make sure both my Fed and MA returns are correct?

It is automatic based on your age. It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other sch 1-A amounts. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. For Single the deduction starts to phase out at 75,000 and maxes out at 175,000 For Joint the deductions starts to phase out at 150,000 and maxes out at 250,000 If you are married you have to file a Joint return And your SSN must be VALID for employment. Do NOT check the box saying Not Valid under My Info.
For Online version You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160 What do you have on 1040 or 1040SR line 13b? See the 1040 ….

The message about "enrollmentstatus" typically refers to there being a student on the return whose enrollment status needs to be verified in the Form 1098-T section, or an issue with Form 1099-Q. The recommended solution is to delete the Form 1098-T and/or 1099-Q that has the error and enter the information again correctly.   Steps to Fix "Enrollment Status" Error (Online & Desktop)   Delete the Form/Worksheet: Navigate to the Tools center and select "Delete a form." Find and delete the "Person on the Return Worksheet" or any erroneous 1099-Q or 1098-T forms. Re-verify Personal Info: Go to the "Personal Info" section and edit your information to ensure student status questions are answered correctly (e.g., changing "Yes" to "No" if not a student). Check 529 Distribution (1099-Q): If you are using 529 funds for private K-12 education, the 1099-Q might cause this issue. Deleting the 1099-Q form, if the distribution is not taxable, often clears the error. See this help article for more information about entering Form 1098-T. See this tips article for more information about Form 1099-Q.
What does Intuit recommend users to do that need this very problem fixed to efile? Should we just mail the form without Form 7220 and it'll be ok given we're all in the same boat?

Hi,   The following is from the NJ worksheet "Pensions Wks-TP" (Pensions, Annuities and IRA Withdrawals) for a Traditional to Roth IRA conversion (not backdoor): Column A Gross Distribution Amount: $5,500 Column B Federal Taxable Amount: $5,500 Column D Value on Date of Distribution: $150,000 Column E Contributions Previously Taxed: $0 Column F Earnings and Contributions Not Previously Taxed: $150,000 Column G Distribution Percentage: 0.0357 Column H Taxable Amount: $5,505   Columns D and E are input through interview questions, the rest are auto populated.   The calculations seem to be: (Column F) = (Column D) - (Column E) (Column G) = (Column A) / (Column D) (Column H) = (Column F) * (Column G)   In this case, Column H above is greater than Colum A, which is incorrect. The taxable amount cannot be more than the converted amount.   This seems to be due to rounding Column G to 4 decimal places. To get the correct result, it needs to be rounded to 8 or more decimal places in this case. Rounding can create error and is acceptable if it is small. But the result in this case is incorrect.   Can someone please confirm this? If so, what is the solution?   Thanks.

I have found a workaround, not sure if it will create an issue or would trigger an audit. But if you remove the date from "Date Construction began" field (Part I, 4), it tricks the form to use 30% of the credit in Section VI. Can the Turbotax support confirm this workaround?
